Blue-Stream Services, LLC provides winning Compressed Air Solution at Texas Foundry
At least once a year, a large Texas Foundry has a “shut-down”, to perform preventive maintenance on their centrifugal air compressors and other critical equipment. This process typically take takes several weeks for each of their many units. Being no stranger to the prospect of doing without one of their critical utilities, compressed air in this case, extended downtime was not an attractive option, and neither were traditional diesel rental air compressors… especially with rising fuel costs and permits required to meet strict emission requirements. The foundry was at a crossroads… which is better, take less production, or go through the headache and expense of permitting and fueling diesel air compressors?
Blue-Stream Services was able to provide a winning solution with Electric, Rental Oil-Free Compressors. Since the Foundry had plenty of electricity available, they were able to operate three of Blue-Stream Services’ latest, energy efficient 785 CFM Oil-Free Air Compressors at three separate buildings. The compressors kept the Foundry’s common air loop at full strength, and “production critical” oil free air was able to be used as normal to keep production at maximum levels. The compact size of the temporary systems, and the flexibility of the installations provided for a winning solution to this customer’s unique need.
